About
Hi & welcome!
I started “She Lives Freely” early in the pandemic to simultaneously connect with you and express myself. The idea was born after I got so tired of seeing people living entirely through the lens of social media (or other digital media) and of witnessing the misguided conformity that inevitably follows when people choose to passively go with the tide. I wanted to create a quiet internet home where you and I could asynchronously sit down and spend real time together by asking questions, engaging in hard conversations, challenging each other, supporting each other, and laughing together. Over the past couple of years, I have loved more than anything how this blog has transitioned offline to real-life conversations with friends, both near and far. That’s really what it’s all about for me.
The title of this blog represents my process, and maybe yours too. I want to live freely – to freely share my ideas, freely love others, freely pursue my passions, freely exist in my own skin – but getting there takes time, effort, and, in my case, a whole lot of seeking Jesus first. I hope that my words will meet you in meaningful ways and that you’ll join me in choosing a life of freedom.
Thanks for hanging out with me. I'm so glad that you're here.
Xo,
Abbey
P.S. It makes me so happy when I hear from people who have read my blog and taken away any value from it. Whether we’ve never met, talked one time in 7th grade, or you are my best friend in the world, please always feel welcome to connect with me.
